Tafel is the everyday lager, Windhoek the slightly more premium positioning; both are excellent. Alongside the local pair, you'll find imports like Castle, Heineken, and the rotating other beers that move regularly in Windhoek bottle stores. For everyday drinking and braai weekends, Tafel Lager is the safe pick — light, clean, widely loved. Windhoek Lager has slightly more body and a touch more bitter character; either Windhoek Lager or Windhoek Draught works well when you want something a step up. For heat — and Windhoek summers run hot — lager-style beers (which is most of what we stock) are the standard choice. For a fuller, heavier beer pick the draught style; for the lightest option, stick with the standard lager 6-packs. Quantity-wise, a 6-pack covers two or three people through an evening.
